The cars stereo has been replaced at the manufacturer, as have the wires and the speaker but after around 30 seconds of playing a CD the drivers ( English, so Right side) door goes off and will come back at random points but go off again after a few seconds...

Help?!

Very mysterious =S

Without pretending to be an electronics wizard, I presume your audio system console (new stereo) is bad.

1) If any speaker dies at any moment, when playing radio, cd or cassette, then I would suspect there might be something wrong with either the speaker (bad speaker, loose connection) or the stereo unit.

2) If any speaker dies ONLY when playing certain stereo component (radio, OR cd, OR cassette), then difinetely, the stereo console is bad.

In your case, it means the CD section (electronics) is bad.

I guess your newly installed system, replaced by manufacturer, is not working properly.

Giving it a little more thoughts, I was wondering:

Does this happens with any CD or with just a specific CD?

I remembered some years ago, I had a similar problem but with a cassette stereo console (In my new Hyundai Scoupe Turbo). Only the right speakers sound when playing the cassette, but everything was fine when playing the radio. It took three days to discover that the cassette was badly recorded (no left channel signal) and the stereo was fine.
