We have an 08 Limited with the 3 Homelink Channel buttons on the rear view mirror. can anyone tell me if these buttons are supposed to be illuminated when the headlights are on? I can't find anything in the manual but when it's dark and we are wanting to press channel i to open our garage door; it's hard to find the button if it's nighttime. I was just wondering if ours should be lit but maybe it's malfunctioning.

If anyone notices whether their homelink buttons are lighted at night I'd appreciate knowing so i can take it in to the dealer and get it fixed.

OK thanks. I've emailed Hyundai to confirm. I guess I'll get a little piece of that flourescent green tape and put it on the button. Hopefully that will emit enough of a glow to assist us in finding the button.

"Homelink", which is a separate company, in and of itself, iand is used in many different manufacturers mirrors.

Unfortunately, none are illuminated, and I certainly agree with you that it is a real pain in the butt looking for the right buttons.

I have three of the buttons programmed. Two are for both of our garage doors and one is for the house interior lights. I have no trouble finding the first one, but the rest are difficult. Especially the third one, which is the house lights.

I am working on a design for a couple of low emitting LEDs up there that look as much like OEM as possible.

I'd be very interested in what you come up with. In the meantime I may just put a little dot of glow tape on the button and see if it provides enough contrast to find the button.

FYI, I got an email from Hyundai confirming that the homelink buttons are not lighted and they also confirmed that the reverse parking aid option described on page 1-23 in the owners manual was not on the Azera even though it was in the manual. Not a big deal but thought I'd pass the info along. I may put a little raised pc. of something over the one homelink button that i use so it's easier to find in the dark or try my fluorescent tape idea.

I have only the first one programmed, if I push it and see the mirror's power LED go to unblinking red, I say "Oops" and move my thumb a little to the left and try again...
