I smacked a deer this morning, and the grille took the grunt of it. What options are out there besides OEM for replacement? There's a bunch on eBay but I don't like them.

2000 miles on my first brand new car and I just hit my first deer after 7 years of driving old POS cars! Woo hoo!

Obviously the deer was waiting for you to buy a new car. Happens every time. Sneaky deers.

I found a good selection on koreanautoimports.com. I ordered a debadged "sport" style for only a little more money as OEM and it comes painted to match. The site only lists most of them for the 2007 year but I called tech support and they said this one will fit an 09. So we'll see.

If anyone checks out the site check out the one with the "GTR" emblem....I lol'ed!

FYI, buyer beware ordering from the website I mentioned above. Disappointing product and even worse customer service. I now have two worthless grills instead of one!

KAI.com customer service basically told me to F off. Due to the distance I can't return it and do a credit card charge back so I'm stuck with it. I'm pretty sure they knew this so they knew they didn't have to try to work with me.

I finally found another website(Rockauto.com) that sells a direct OEM replacement grill for $37. They have a real customer service policy so I'm not worried about returning it if it doesn't come with the piece I need. It is pictured on there, but that didn't get me too far with KAI. I talked to customer service before hand and they said if I'm not happy with it I can send it back no problem. My hope is to get the grill from them, and swap the chrome strip onto the one I ordered from KAI.

My dealer cannot order the piece, and wrecking yards will not separate it from the main body of the grill. I'm tired of driving around a brand new car with no grill. Putting the cracked piece on the new grill looks awful. If this doesn't work out I guess I'll just get a piece of wire mesh, paint it yellow with a type-R sticker, and bleach my hair like Paul Walker.

Rockauto.com came through! The grill arrived today WITH the chrome strip. I'm glad to put this ordeal behind me.

Glad you were able to get the right part. Thanks for the follow-up. This is good information to know in case anyone else ever needs to buy a grill or other part.

Yeah, I was surprised at the lack of information out there. But I guess that's to be expected with new cars. I used to be heavily into the old turbo Dodge/Chrysler cars and it's quite a switch owning something brand new with such a small following and aftermarket. Being persistent paid off. $37 vs. $270 from the dealer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)
