Hi all...

I've search the internet to no avail, so here I am.

I bought a wrecked 2007 Hyundai Entourage Limited for my wife....has 4,800 miles on it. It was hit in the front, bought a complete used front end
off another 2007 Entourage, but it wasn't a "Limited". Besides not having fog lights, everything else was the same. However, there is one sensor
that was on my Limited the the Base model front didn't have.

I don't have the old sensor as the radiator support was already stripped and tossed in the trash. The only information I have is that it has two wires
going to it...an orange one and a yellow one. It mounts down towards the bottom of the radiator support, I "think" on the center support bar.

It must have something to do with an option the Limited has that the Base does not. The van is fixed and everything "seems" to be working fine.

Can anybody tell me what this sensor would be?? Anybody with a Limited Entourage care to take a look and see if there is possibly a part number on theirs?

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Please save the lecture on wrecked vehicles....I've bought and driven dozens of them. This was drilled and spot welded at the factory seems, first rate job, not hacked up. I'm into a 2007 Entourage Limited with less than 5,000 miles, loaded with leather, dvd, heated seats, etc for just over $10,000.

You have available to you a free a factory service manual on line. www.hmservice.com
Register for an account and follow instructions. This should help

Also check ebay for a service manual on CD they sell for about $20 (easier to use)

Good luck with your project

My guess is that it is an ambient temp sensor. Where you describe is typically where Hyundai/Kia puts them. On some other vehicles, like the Veracruz, they also put the Air Quality Sensor near there, but I don't think Entourage is equipped with one.

We have a top-of-the-line '06 Kia Sedona that is equipped simiarly to the Entourage Limited, and about the only major differences electronically with the lower end GLS is the automatic climate control and driver info center.

BTW, my hats off to you for taking on such a challenge. I have thought about doing something like that - if only I had more time to work on cars these days.

Thank u both for your help. The "auto" climate control doesn't seem to be working like other cars I have owned so I thought it might have something to do with the missing sensor. I will check the online service manual. Dont give me too much credit for fixing it. My family owns a late model salvage yard. All I did was buy it wrecked, track down the parts and then hire a bodyshop to fix it.

Thanks again for the help!

Just signed up online, thought I would let you know it was www.hmaservice.com

Had to google it when hmservice.com brought me to some German site (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Just a quick follow up:

The website www.hmaservice.com was VERY helpful.

It is indeed the ambient temp. sensor that is missing....now to track one down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks guys.

Glad it worked out for you. That hmaservice.ccom is a great resouce. I am so glad Hyundai puts out all that info online. It's one of the reasons I like Hyundai/Kia. The first thing I did after buying a new car was to buy the factory service manual. There is really no need to do that now.

Great that you can take advantage of the family biz. I definitely would if that were the case.
