hey hyundai heads,


i think it might be something with the alternator or maybe exaust, but im not a mechanic so i come here for help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

my problem is after a while, randomly itll start to SLOW DOWN when i push the throttle, and power is very low, and lately it will stall completely *its an automatic* and it takes a long time b4 i can get it started again... anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like your carburettor. Try a massive dose of carb cleaner.

If that fails go to a Hyundai dealership and buy carburettor gaskets. Get a new needle and float too if they have them. Take the top off the carb. Check the bowl for rust. It'll look like sand. If its there it means the gas tank and / or fuel lines are rusting into the fuel, which makes a horrible mess of everything it gets into. If not you might have a stuck valve or something wrong with the float. Usually it's rust though.
