i have 2005 terrracan. when i put the fuse in for to activate the low box there is a grinding noise in the box when put under preasure of exceleration and when i corner to the left. take the fuse out and the jeep drives perfect but no low box..need help here.

Hmmm... it seems the low 4 gearing is with something bad. Hyundai does not even recommend changing the transfer case oil (It uses hydraulic fluid similar to auto transmissions). I suggest having the transfer case oil level checked.

But anyway, driving in 4x4 LOW makes all kinds of grinding noises, especially if doing it on pavement. Even with a new vehicle if engaging the Low 4x4, will do the same. I wouldn't worry much.
