Check your neighborhood gas station.... Last time I bothered to check, Diesel was MORE EXPENSIVE than Unleaded 87.

^^ This

my local station that offers diesel is about $2.20 for 87 and about $2.45+ for diesel..

and its extremely hard to find (at least by me).. for every 5 gas stations, 1 might offer diesel

Diesel cars first of all just cost too much and diesel fuel is rare and expensive in the US. Hybrid cars use less fuel but their batteries pollute and honestly I had a Prius and it wasn't the best car to drive around in heavy rain or snow. Since the hybrid engine is delicate, they don't let the wheel spin at all for the fear of the hybrid engine being fried. If the ground is slippery and you happening to be turning, the car actually loses power to the wheels and your just stuck there waiting to be hit. Happened to me once and learned hybrids aren't for me and if you are going to be driving one, then drive it in the summer on a good weather. Unless the US creates more diesel stations I think diesel won't take off as strongly as in other countries where diesels are common.

Drives: 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited 4 Cylinder with Navigation

I sometimes regret buying a 4 and not getting the six. Howver I felt I couldn't afford the additional 2000 grand to get the 6, AND get the Navigation. It was either Navigation or V6 and I chose the NAV.

However, I missed the appearance of the dual exhaust, and after completely redoing the custom dual exhaust on my 4 cylinder Limited since it wasn't done right the first time (and I am STILL going to have to redo it AGAIN since the mufflers I have are already starting to try and rust out) I would have been better off getting the V6. That way I would have had the dual exhaust from the factory, had a quieter more refined engine, and had a car that was more fun to drive that STILL got better gas mileage than the V6 Santa Fe I traded in for the Sonata. Plus the V6 would have only added 10-15 bucks more per month anyway.

If Hyundai only offers 4 cylinders the top of the line model better be smooth and it BETTER be fun to drive. My custom exhaust is the only thing that makes my car fun to drive. (However....even though it was completely boring to drive without the custom exhaust it was and STILL a GREAT car).
