Hi there,
I am hoping that someone would know where to find the central locking control box on a 2001 amica.
I am hoping to upgrade it to a remote central locking system/Alarm. Thanks In Advance... Mick

think you might have a problem there
looking at the circuit diagram there is no motor in the drivers side (uk right hand drive) there is no control box as such its all done with limit switches in the other doors and when you turn the key it just sends dc to the other doors via a diode system, operating the motor until the limit switch is reached by operating the drivers lock you are just changing the polarity of the voltage sent,
its not all bad news though, you could buy a locking motor from ebay (standard universal thing) and add to the door release plunger of the drivers door and connect this to the central locking of your alarm, this may work or you could just remove the power to the drivers door and connect all the locking motors to your alarm, not as drastic as it sounds cos they are all fed from the drivers door so no extra wireing would be needed just connect into the loom in the door frame the only down side is that doing this you would lose the central locking via the key but would work with all doors via the alarm

if you need any more info just email me jgrantham@orange.net

regards
