hello y'all

i have a question about an air filter

if i want to put an air filter(K&N) in my car, should i put an intake? because one of my friends told me if i want to put an air filter in my car, i need to put

an intake in before putting the air filter in.

im confussing what i have to do...

You can buy a flat panel K&N filter to replace the stock intake filter, it should help a little but nothing ground breaking. <- Easy 1-2-3 install
If you installed a short air ram or cold air intake you would get some gain, but it would involve making a custom application and removing the stock parts. <- Custom job, Time++++

The choice is yours

May I asked why you are changing the air filter? If you are looking to get more performance, you might see a slight change. If you want cleaner air, stick with the factory configuration. The drive by wire thing for acceleration really tempers out any performance increase you might see if you changed the air filter alone. My 2 cents.

the reason why is the smell .. if i turn on my A/C, it smells really bad... is it normal for all the cars in the begining? also im looking for to get some performance too, but mostly its smell of a/c hahaha thanks for your kindness reply!

You might want to change the passenger air filter too. i know my a/c smells to and i need to replace that. its the one behind the glove box.

I think you're a little confused over the terminology here. The AC filter behind the glove box is a CABIN filter. The AIR filter is the one under the hood for engine air.
