ok people im in need or help desperatly... i need performance options without an engine swap for my 2000 hyundai accent. Its a 4 door> and im really looking into turbo, but i really cant find anything made specifically for this car, any help would be greatly appreciated. any other cool performance parts or other stuff like body kits( only found the evo 5 kit so far) head and tail lights, exhaust options, cat options, nos, any tips at all will help. this car is hard to find stuff for. i love my car and dont wanna sell it, but if i cant come up with some options soon, i will have to sell it to get a car i can tune.... PLEASE HELP!

Well, it all depends on how much you want to spend. Cheapest route is nitrous oxide, but it is illegal for street use and your insurance will probably drop you if you have an accident and it's hooked up. However, almost every car can take a 50 shot without a problem. Any universal kit would do it. Wet shots are safer to use, but you could go dry for less money. Whatever kit you get you'll probably want some sort of window switch, WOT switch, bottle blanket\heater...etc.

You'd need to get a custom made turbo setup if you want to go that route I would think. Plus to do it right you're looking at a big chunk of change if you can't do the fabrication work yourself (or have a friend do it). You'd need the turbo, intercooler (core with custom end tanks probably), bigger injectors, custom hard pipes, custom intake, you'd want a boost controller (Electronic is good, but not required), You'd need a new clutch, might as well get a lightened fly wheel, better brakes to handle the increased power, bigger/ported throttle body......and on and on and on. If your block is aluminum you'll be limited to maybe 10 or 12 PSI, if it's cast iron you won't throw a rod through it as easily. Your pistons will only handle so much heat so you'll need a wide band air/fuel monitor.....Maybe $10,000 to set it up with most the extras and nice things you might want. Speed is an expensive business!
