I am really enjoying my new i20, but have a question about the door locks.
When the car gets to about 25 mph the doors lock themselves, I dont mind this to much but would like the option to be able to turn this function off some times.
I can not find anything in the hand book on how to switch this on and off.

One other thing, the handbook is a bit brief about what the radio options unde setup are, some are obvious but I am still trying to work out what some of them mean.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Just intrigued, do the doors lock at a speed of 25 or under, which would make sense if it's some sort of 'anti carjack' safety or do they lock when the speed comes to and exceeds 25 ?
Can't help on how to disable/enable it on the i20 but I remember driving a Renault (quite some time ago !) and this was enabled/disabled by pressing and holding a central locking button in the vehicle, maybe it's something along those lines in the i20 ?

don't think you can switch it off, I noticed it on the test drive I had, door locks clunk as you approach 20-25 mph, I think it is classed as a safety feature although I await being corrected.

This feature is switched on at you request by the dealershp, it can be set at a couple of different speed settings, it's a safeguard against car jacking and stops anyone entering the vehicle at traffic lights etc!
Your dealer can switch it of if you so wish, I would strongly advise that it is left on if any female is likely to drive the car.
This can be found in the handbook.

Gazza!!!

This feature has not been enabled in my i20, 3 door classic, 2010MY.

Reading the manual it appears that it can only be turned at the dealers. Wonder if they charge for this as it wasn't mentioned to be when I collected the car.

Interesting, I'm sure our Style doesn't have this feature.

Mine doesn't have this feature, but the manual says the dealer can activate it if you would like to have that feature.

Just had my car back to the dealers today. They put the car on the computer and activated the auto door locks. So I guess we cannot do it ourselves.

My I20 doesn't do this either.
After reading this i really wonder what the SECC-connector is for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Does anyone know what the SECC connector just below the dashboard fusebox is for? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

My guess is it's to read the service information. It would be fun to be able to read it myself.
