Hello all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'd like to be able to turn on my foglights regardless if I am on parking, lowbeam, or highbeam. The default way is they only come on with lowbeams.

I have read about mods on the SFs, but could not find one for the Tucson? Does anyone know how to do it on a US 06 GLS?

A blow-by-blow would be great as I fear messing with stock wiring...

Thanks in advance!

[EDIT] 09-13 @ 8:21PM

I went to the HMA website, but none of the wiring diagrahms are view-able? So while I can find the rely and the fuse, and the switch - I have no idea what to modify to make the switch live with IGN on - so regardless of if on parking, low, high, or no lights, I can use the foglights.

I hope someone has this knowledge!

Thanks to those on this forum, I did find a "fog light" wiring diagram! Of course, I do not know how to read one...

I have done wiring, and am comfortable doing stuff if I know what to do?

So, any help with a guideline would be really great

/fingers crossed

[edit]PS-I will email a better or larger copy of the image to anyone that asks - state what size you would like - on the forum it ends up being a photo of a photo it seems, and detail gets lost (it came out of a large PDF file - if someone wants the entire file)

peter, l've had a quick look at this. the fog lights get thier power from the headlight relay and thereafter the power goes through the fog light switch and then the fog light relay and then to the lights

as you know the fog lights only work when the headlamps are on dipped beam because they take their power from the dipped beam terminal on the headlamp relay.

so to do what you want to do you will need to identify and cut the fog light wire at the dipped beam terminal on the headlight relay and then transfer the feed wire to the sidelight circuit.

this is quite easy if you know what you're doing. just ask your local auto electrian what wire to cut and where to re-connect it to.

as the fog light circuit has its own relay there should not be a problem

Please forgive me for taking so long to reply! 2009 has not been kind to me, renal failure (resolved) and then TKR (Total Knee Replacement) 7 days ago.

Anyhow, if I read the reply correctly, I simply need to figure out which wire is the primary foglight feed off the low-beam circut, cut it, and route it to a better power source of my choice? Sounds simple enough, once the correct wire is determined.

My dealer wants .75hr to do this for me. I wonder why? I think I will take a printout of this in with me when I next go in.

Meanwhile, if anyone knows which wire is the correct one, feel free to let me in on the secret (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

OK - great idea (I didn't think of )...

Once my leg lets me do things, I will take my 12 volt test light and go play for a while - know exactly what to do once I find the correct wire, as there is a SPARE IGN-side 30 AMP just asking for a wire to be plugged into!! (this would give me on / off as long as the key is ON - regardless of the state of any lights, which is how I want it - TY)

But, in the meantime, if anyone else happens to figure out the correct wire before I can go hunting, please post it?
