Wondering if its possible to lighten the flywheel or auto-tranny?

Thinking of ways that might reduce the fuel consumption! Petrol too expensive already nowadays.

the flywheel on an auto. is not like the flywheel on a manual trans. it is very much thinner and is called a flexi-plate (well in the uk it is) there is no way it can be skimmed or lightened

using the A/C on the highway at least is more efficent than running with the windows down, the windows create too much drag at speed
