I know this is mentioned here before. I have about 70 posts and all are of me spending a little free time before hitting the sack to help people with their problems. I do this to remind myself everything what i've learned thru the years and so I dont forget. People show up here for first time, dont introduce themselves and right away want to know whats wrong with their car. After some others and I give some really good advice, you never hear from them again. Should I waste my time with them? Maybe all new members should be obligated to post feedback after their first thread or get banned for a predetermined amount of time. I'm just saying cause as much as I go out of my way to help these individuals, I never know if I've helped them or not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/offtopic.gif)

I think you're being a little too sensitive. People are people, they are flawed beings. You don't have to answer their questions if you don't want to. I answer questions because it helps me to learn.

Yeah me to, I do it as not to forget anything. I have'nt worked a Hyundai dealer for 2 years now. I last worked at VW and want to go back to Hyundai but they are all closing down one after another. I'm speaking of Southern California area and I moved to Arizona to outlast the recession. I just got word that new dealers are opening up but they are getting filled even before they open.

Hi!! Everybody, I know it's kind of mest up that I'm having to ask for advice when the topic has to do with how members don't give feedback, but I have tried just about every single site there is and I can't get any responses back from anybody. I just taught that this might seam the one place that someone can help me with this. I been having my tiburon gt for just about a year now, it's been a faithful car. All pros nor cons!!! the thing is that about have a year into owning it I blew the engine driving through a puddle. My intake practicaly sits on the floor. So you might have guess, yeah it sucked up water and morphed my heads, blew out three pistons and many other worst things. A month later I got around to getting a new engine and a local shop installed it and did more then a great job. The problem was that the engine that I put on my 04 tiburon was a 05. So I got the engine light turn on always. I don't know if that has anything to do with the engine swap that I recently did, or if that codes that the computer are wrong. I ran the diagnostics and the computer said that the engine is not breathing properly and i should probably clean out my throutle body and so far I have been to lazy to start doing that, that and the fact that i might end up screwing up with the throutle body's gasket. The thing is that i don't really want advice for that what I really want is to know where my speed sensor is located at because ever since the swap the speedometer doesn't work. I know for a fact the the little motor inside the cluster is working because every time the car is started the needle goes up and down but when you start to drive it doesn't move anymore so i'm thinking that it might have something to do with the speedometer sensor or the computer. If anybody can help me with this problem then it would be totaly awsome and i be forever greatful. I just don't know where to go anymore and i don't want to take it to hyundai because i know that it's going to cost me alot of money.

What is the Deal with that? There were tons of Hyundai Dealers, and most are gone. Why even Galpin Ford

in Sepulveda was a Hyundai Dealer once. I miss the guys on Lankershim in North Hollywood. Pioneer Hyundai

yeah, the 3 that I worked for are gone. Too bad they closed after I left or I would have raped those shops of all their special tools. the only other standing dealers are too slow, no work. The VW dealer I worked for used to have a VW/Hyundai shop but closed down before I came around. These dealers are not being given a line of credit from Chrysler in most cases and they cant survive without it. All 3 of them had 2 car lines at one point in order to stay afloat but soon after the bigger one was taken out and Hyundai did'nt last much longer. This all happend SInce 1 year ago. And all 3 of them had too much overhead because out in Cali it means a lot. I've tried Cormier and wanted to give me overflow work(warranty), Commerce is too slow, Garden grove does'nt like me(history with manager), I dont think there are any left in L.A., and anywere outside of that I'm not familiar with.

well this may sound like I feel special but I thought I would say it. I'm getting a job again at a Hyundai dealer so in the essence of job security I'll have to cut back on helping people. Since that's all I do here. I got over the "no feedback received" deal and got used to it. But I feel some trade secrets just need to be kept that, a secret at least from me. Like how to cheat at a XG timing belt, or why a Sonata wont start after filling up (not much a secret anymore), Or how to reduce the amount of lifter noise on a most 90's model engines and '01 XG300. What i've really been learning is interchangeability(interchange) in my time off, and if someone asks I will help. Currently my next project is gonna be using an Elantra cruise control on my '96 Accent instead of those aftermarket kits that need tweaking. I know I wont be missed but I did enjoy the helping of others as it kept my memory up to date. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/right.gif)
