I am 36yo. and don't think that the i10 is the old persons car of choice. I had a look at Fiat Panda, Toyota aygo, C1, P 107 etc...but the i10 is just a proper car with very good engine (1.2 Kappa) and once you drive it-you definitely don't feel like sitting in a mini. It's my first Hyundai as I never rated this make, but they did it right- Designed at Hyundai’s European Design Centre in Russelsheim, Germany the whole “I" gamma is great looking. Also Hyundai is one of the most reliable maker at the moment: http://www.hyundai-blog.com/index.php/2009...-quality-study/

I'm 32 - although I'll probably be 33 when the car arrives! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Glad to see so many "young 'uns". I'm 54 and when I got my i10 last September, I was the youngest person I'd ever seen driving one (IMG: style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) The first one I ever saw was in a local car park and it had two flat caps on the dash (two!?). I thought "Oh no, what have I done??? I've bought an old f@rt's car..." I evidently needn't have worried - it just needed a scrappage scheme and a bit of time to appeal to the masses. I too have been told I'm driving an "old man's car". Or sometimes, a "hair dresser's car". The majority of people who have seen the car have not liked it, at least on the outside.
And you know what? I don't care.
I don't think the i10 is great looking on the front (I like it on the back though). I like the interior, I like the ride, and I like the features I got for the price.
If your friends are mocking you for your choice of car... Well, why care?
The car I had before was a Toyota Aygo. I was mocked for it being a "girls car". But hey, it was fun, and after a while, my friends really got to like it. One of them now says she really misses the old Aygo, and hasen't yet 'warmed' to the i10... Go figure.
Soon, I'll be adding a "carputer" to the i10. It will run my satnav, and my music. Later on, it will do so, so much more. I've been working on the software (nearly done), and soon will start to gather the hardware.
I love my i10, it's the best car I've ever owned. And soon, it will be even better.
And to top it off. I'm 24.

Well guys, I'm definitely in the 'Old F@rt' age group at uncomfortably close to 63! Having said that, I'm not yer average sixty something, as I'm also well into motorbikes (I have two), and I don't wear a flat cap either. I don't regard the i10 as an 'Old F@rts' car at all, not when you look around and see the number of 'wrinklies' driving Nissan Micra's, Skoda Fabia's and the 'Biddie car of choice', the Toyota Yaris. (Hope me Sister don't see this, 'cos She drives a Yaris and She's younger than me!!!). I too looked at the Citroen C1, Fiat Panda etc. and felt that the i10 was head and shoulders above all the others. My Wife has a 1.4 Getz, which is a great car, but I wanted something in the £35 road tax category, and the Getz is being phased out anyway, but in terms of value for money, I think the i10 is unbeatable, especially when you add in the five year warranty to the 'toys' included in the price of my 1.2 'Comfort', and I managed to wring a discount out of the dealer (This was last October, Pre-scrappage). My previous car, for seven years, was a Landrover Discovery 3.9 V8i, which I had converted to LPG, and I have to admit I've always preferred big cars, especially 4x4's, but as I'm now getting close to retirement, I really couldn't justify another big car. In all honesty, I haven't missed the Disco, and certainly not the fuel consumption of 11 mpg, even if LPG is less than half the price of petrol, and so far, I'm still very happy with my i10,- hope you all are too! LC.

I'm 21, though will be 22 when she finally arrives (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I dont think it's an old person car, and am glad to see its being proved in who is buying and driving it!
