I have a 2000 accent 1.5, and was thinking of having the head port an polished to gain a lil more power. My ? is if i do this wat affect will it have on my engine and will anything happen to the bottom end of my engine. Is it even worth doing?

It's a waste of money for a 2000 Accent.

Simple things such as new spark plugs, change to synthetic oil, etc. If you're looking for more speed, you can also remove extra weight from the car. But all of these things will have a minimal effect.

Best thing for an older car such as yours is just to look after it and keep it well serviced with regular oil and filter changes.
