they just say to you in still showing in factory?

thats what mine said, she said it should be end of sept, but not holding hope, looking on this forum

they don't even say that just "no news yet" apparently the colour I have ordered (electric green) is "unusual" the dealer has only had one before (when they first launched) and have been unable to get another quick enough to put in the showroom

i ordered mine 1st week in august was qouted 1st week in october hand over to me today after the 3rd phone call and getting the hump with the bloke on the other end the woman that took the order finaly phoned me back after me haveing left other messages over the past couple of days all i wanted to know was what the status was the minute she said factory and turned round to me and said it should still make it i went into one on the phone and said the ship that comening in the end of september has already left and the next one won't reach tilbury until the 1st week in october she asked me how i knew to which i told her that the information was readily available over the net and that hyundai is the only car manufacturer that ships in or out of each port.
i came of the phone and was steaming and was quite prepared to cancel the order as i'm not scrapage and my current cars 1st mot isn't until next march. i have calmed down a little since then and she assured me the minute the status changes she will phone me so next week when i'm on holiday from work my phone will remain switched of so she can't contact me and lets see if that annoys her the fact that no one is responding.
the only good bit of information i found out today was HYUNDAI UK STOPED EXCEPTING SCRAPAGE ORDERS LAST NIGHT....FOR I10 AND I20'S
the only trouble is how many orders are still in the system waiting to be processed.....................................

Think they may have trouble actually refusing orders as the Hyundai UK web site is still offering the generous discounts, to such an extent if you click in the right place you get a downloadable pdf document with all the scrappage prices on it, not sure where they would stand with trading standards on that

i htink its to do with the delivery lead time as scrapage is due to run out of money at some point in october and they have to have the orders processed and completed within a certain time frame afterwars.

the best bit i read on here was that hyundai reckoned all orders would be fulfilled by the end of september i don't think thats going to happen unless they meant all orders placed before august

well just called Belmont garage again, still showing on her screen as 'in factory', but she believes its still due end of sept, can't say i believe her. i wanted to get a date which she answered with i wouldn't have one, mot and tax is up 30th, and i asked if they could take the car earlier, which was a no, 'not enough space', this could develop into a huge headache, grrrr

Yes, he's said that. Im supposed to pop into dealer next week when he'll check order status again, and if still showing as in factory. we'll 'consider our options then'! He couldnt elaborate as he said my car scrapped weeks ago and he'd have nothing to reorder it with !! Crazy ! Ive no confidence in him!

Drives: 2009 I20 classic - when it finally arrives.......

QUOTE (so_devo @ Sep 1 2009, 02:47 PM) *
I ordered a I20 5-door classic in red on 20th June (scrappage scheme). Promised delivery "August, maybe sooner". Chased today, "definitely by the end of the month (September)". Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Still, on the plus side.......

I hope I'll get a 2010MY spec car although I only paid £6245 which was 2009MY price (pre 30/6).
I'll definitely get a 59 plate car.

My car's MOT ran out 4th July, Tax 30th June. It is currently SORN and parked off-road. I'll probably have to trailer it there or persuade the dealers to collect.

The delay is starting to grate on me somewhat - sharing a car with my wife and cycling when necessary is a novelty that is now wearing off.

My story is coming to an end - car at the dealers and now waiting for my insurance docs (only c.£150 p.a. on an Admiral multi-car with prot NCB). So 3 months from order to wheels.

There was a twist to my story though. It transpires that my dealer didn't place my order punctually and my MoT had expired by the time they did (and the model/price changed). Fair play to them though, they took my car in and re-MoT'd it at their expense and I will also be getting a 2010MY model at no extra cost now (still honouring the £6245 for a 5dr classic in red).

So aside from some extra delay, they have seen me OK.

Not that if affects me anymore but they also tell me that they cannot rely on the tracking system anymore, as it is not regularly updated.

I also noted a lot of cars in their yard with "scrappage" marked on the windscreen, so the deliveries seem to be flowing in now.

Yipee, picked-up mine earlier on ! (sorry for those still waiting !!!)
Just under 4 weeks after ordering, that's got to be a record judging by some of the waiting time stories here ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) to Hyundai London ! Now... Gap insurance for £249 for 3 years... Sounds good but I know b****r all about it, so, that'll be my next query in an another part of the forum !
