Double sided tape!! haha works like a charm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I HIGHLY recommend the remote that I ordered. It looks exactly like the one KAI sells but in my opinion the eBay one is better since it comes with a red panic button and Hyundai logo for the real stock look; it is very solid and to someone who isn't familiar with Hyundai's would think it came with the car.

Best of luck to those wanting to do this mod.

I would not recommend the eBay key.

I purchased one and think it is quite junky.
The key blade gets hung up when you attempt to open it and the buttons don't fit right. Sometimes they work, other times not. I have had it open numerous times in an attempt to adjust it, but have had no luck.

Don't waste the $25 bucks.

I agree that the key does get stuck once in a while (more so while I was trying to get the assembly right, seems okay now), and that the buttons aren't perfect. It took quite an effort with double sided tape in two places and opening/closing the cover numerous times (including setting off the alarm a couple of times) to get everything in place where the remote worked consistently.

I purchased for the appearance, despite the negative comments on quality. I found that the final piece of the puzzle that made it work consistently for me was to put one additional piece of double-sided tape at the bottom of the board inside the key to keep it from sliding out of place. I think the $75 savings versus the other flip key is just a bonus.

While the craftsmanship of the Ebay key is suspect mine is working ok so far. When installing the board into it I had to shave a little of the rear door lip so the board won't slip out of place during use which results in hard to press or not working buttons. Although the key itself is hanging a little looser after time so I may have to opt for the real deal in the future (ESI NEH100). A website called G-Market has them for $40.00 plus shipping, so not as bad as the other importers are charging.

Google G-Market - it comes up at the top. Search on that site for ESI NEH100 - you will see the keys.

Go to the site, it has a partial english side (top row select English). Most of the sellers don't ship international but some do. It allows you to find the sellers who ship overseas. Sign up at the site to create an account. They take PayPal so it makes it a little easier. I've never ordered from them but plan to in the future.

I ordered the key using Paypal, cost me $12 for shipping to Canada, so $50 total vs $100 (+ shipping?) on the import site. Even using the English settings on G-Market, I had to make use of Google Translate a little to get some text translated into English. Not as straight forward as purchasing from other sites, but worth the savings.

Yes, this happens to me often too. The chip sits too tightly against the alarm button and housing.

happened so many times with me that i took it apart and removed the panic button---just the rubber pad under the button so it still looks original

I've become quite fond of flip keys as they've climbed the popularity charts. Now that a cheap way of obtaining one has presented itself, I think I may take the opportunity. Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Received the Gmarket key, rather quickly I might add. Packaging was excessive (as described by my wife who opened it, a shoebox with a smaller shoebox inside, with the actual ESI box inside - all this for a flip key plus TWO blanks), but I'm not complaining. Came with visual instructions, in colour but not in english. Also came with a small screwdriver - not needed if you have a set, but also a nice touch.

In comparison with the eBay key, assembly was extremely quick and easy. Fit and finish is also visibly superior, although I still like the chrome look of the eBay key. For comparison of the final products, see below. Close enough in size, except the key blank that came with the eBay key is slightly longer.

I'm much more confident that the battery and board transplanted into the ESI key will stay in place, and have a bit of anxiety about the eBay key after having to use pieces of double-sided tape to keep things in place. So far, no cause for concern - I spent much more time getting the eBay key to work consistently before I put the screws in.

I highly recommend the ESI key from Gmarket, unless you really really prefer the look of the eBay key.

Looks good! Are those buttons rubber?
If so I would like that compared to the plastic ones from the Ebay version.

Not bad.... Enjoy

Sweet! I just order two from them. Less then $90 for two delivered, not bad. Basically a little more expensive than the ebay keys. Thanks for the information.

Looks amazing
I'm definitely thinking about ordering the same exact ESI key from G-Market after reading your post!
How do you like it so far? Stable? Press the panic button often by accident?

Well, Elantra is called Avante in Korea, my question is if the name of the car is the only difference?
Will the Avante key work for an Elantra?

I am also looking to the switchblade key and I like the looks of the one from G Market, and from what I hear, the quality is better than the ebay ones.

how many remotes can be programmed on the SantaFe? From what I have been told its only 2. I have the two originals that came with the car but bought the flip key and another FOB, so rather than destroy the originals I wanted to program the new FOB to the car and use it with the flip key. Anyone know of a way to program more than 2 FOB's?
