Hi all i've noticed recently that the carpet behind drivers seat, UK, and in the boot is soaking wet, it also seems wet underneath the rear seat. Could water be coming through the wheel arch somehow. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem. Thanks
Wayne

the most likely cause is the rear screen leaking, put the rear seats down and then stay inside the car while a friend sprays the car with a hose pipe...try and see where the waters coming in

It's also a good idea to check and make sure that all of the floor drain plugs are in place and secure, If they are missing replace them right away and make sure that you dry the carpets fully or they will be full of mold in no time at all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Also check the AC drain line. There is a little pan that holds the condensation from the AC and that has a hose to drip onto the road under your car. If the line is blocked, the pan fills and it can overflow into the passenger compartment. If the line is blocked, you can typically use an air hose to blow it clear.

I had a trunk full of water recently. I found a drip at the corners of the rear window at the bottom. With the trunk lid open, you can see along the bottom edges where the seal is split and thats where mine was leaking, I got up inside the trunk with some sealant, and fixed the dripping. Now for the door/window rubber leaking, thats going to be hard to fix. Nature of the beast I think.

P.S. The above suggestion about the floor plugs is a good one. I had two rubber grommets in the trunk floor that were not seated any longer. Pushed them back down with some sealant on them for now.

My car was in a rear end collision, and I bought it to fix up. Im sure that didnt help it any. Its tight now, as we have had record breaking rainfalls lately and no leaks. Well aside from the drivers window at the top, it leaks in heavy heavy rain while on the highway.
