OK if anyone is interested, I took the headunit out of our I20 style today to fit the handsfree telemute lead.

Very easy, just use a small flat blade screwdriver or bread knife to unclip the whole silver surround from one edge (just pick any edge), careful not to chip the silver, and then just work your way round the whole centre console and unclip it by hand.

The headunit is held in by 4 crosshead screws and one 10mm bolt in the centre.

The headunit uses standard ISO plugs.

Very easy car to take apart (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i emailed hyundai for info on the radio and this is whet there reply was back
see below the 2 replys

Hyundai would not recommend the modification of the standard stereo unit inany of its models. Therefore the fitment of a subwoofer is not something wewould recommend. With reference to the wiring information I would advisethat you contact your local Hyundai Dealer.

Thank you for your recent email. I have emailed our technical department and they are lookin into yourquery. I will let you know the outcome. Kind regards, Sarah.

@F6HAD you say there are standard ISO plugs
are there any RCA's to attach an amp to at all.

I was told that you need to get an adapter you connect to speaker leads and that has an RCA connector you connect your amp to
