Drives: Hyundai Elantra 2.0 GLS, Nissan Frontier XE King Cab 2.4L
My Radio turns on at random times eg during the night when the the key is nowhere near the ignition and the car is locked. Any theories on what might be causing this? Now I turn the radio off before turning the ignition off and it stays off to avoid the embarrassment!

I too had a possesed radio in my 01 Elantra.
Brought it to the dealer many times for this. It would turn itself on all the time. It scared me to think there was an electrical issue somewhere. After a few go arounds with the dealer they agreed to insall a new radio as a "Good Faith" repair. No problems with it since. We were never given an explanation as to why it was doing that.
