ok valkyrie yb70......... i dont mean to sound rude but the used car market is very different in other parts of the world.

For instance... what a car is worth in one country can be completely different in another.

Also, over here, modifications dont devalue a car, generally they increase the price.

Here we dont have the mind of....... My car's better than a stock one, therefore im going to sell it for less.

Also we have different weather here. Our cars dont age as quickly here, they dont have major rust issues ect.

I Have seen Series 1 scoupes sell for up to $7000 (completely stock 199,000km)

Dont mean to dissapoint you or make you sound bad but maybe you should be aware that the world is a bit bigger than your local area.

Again, no disrespect.

ah yes, it wont devalue it as much, but many potential buyers (like me for instance) are scared away by heavily modified cars, especially when you dont know who did the work and if there had been some tempoary fixes right before the sale. if the car is turbo, then i wont settle for anything more extreme than near stock.

Sorry guys, but I stand by what I said.........most potential buyers (apart from out-and-out enthusiasts) suspect, usually correctly, that a modified car will have been heavily-thrashed by at least one young driver.

Used car dealers are especially wary of such cars.......as they stand to get the frequent after-sales comeback from buyers!.

You got a good point there valkrie!

Over the pond in the UK cars do generally devalue, but are worth more because of their (professional) modifications.
For example
Standard I bought mine 12yrs old, 40,000m, mot no tax for £1100
However if it had alloys, a new exhaust and uprated brakes then i'd be expected to pay closer to £2000.

Its not the mods that depriciate at all, its whats underneath em.

So ur both right really!

The rarity of these cars is the reason almost nothing is available!.

A custom bodykit will cost around 3 times the price you mention & shipping the few items available overseas is incredibly expensive........even before you get around to spraying & fitting!.

really your options on bodykits are very very minimal...there are the 3 commercially available kits, as are mentioned at the top of the thread, or there is the option of finding your self a bumper that you already like, and getting out the fibre glas and filler, and sortiong it out your self to fit the scoupe side and front mounts to get the bumber to fit.

And i am quite tempted to try and get an S14 front end on mine now :D

Lazy L

Are those also impreza side skirts and back bumper?

I'm sure they will end up being quite different, but I will check my brothers Civic ('97) out. When my girlfriend gets home from her trip, I'll check her civic ('93) too. Maybe their fittings will be somewhere near close...?
