I didnt really care for the chrome bars on the grille of my 09 so I removed them sanded them down real good and painted them black to match the rest of the grille. They are drying right now but its gonna look sweet I will post some pics when I get it all back together.

The first picture is the 'before' and the second is the 'after'. He painted the three horizontal chrome bars black.

Yes thats correct I removed the grille and unsnapped the three horizontal bars, sanded them down and painted them with Krylon fusion satin black paint. I let them dry a few days and snapped them back in place.

I'm with ddix on this one. Both pics still look like they have the chrome strips. Maybe it's just the light reflecting, but I can't tell the difference.

dave2.4, can you try getting a different shot of the grill, with the sun not shining directly on it? Perhaps mid-afternoon with the car facing east.
