I am an alarm specialist, if your alarm is aftermarket then remove the siren completely but disconnect the alarm fuses before you cut the wires or you'll short out the fuses, once you remove the siren, in the siren wire coil their should be 4-6 wires red, 12 volt, black, negative, green siren trigger !!!! , blue tamper switch, brown, white not connected. To save money all you have to do is connect the green wire to the siren wire and test the alarm system, find the siren wire under the dashboard, but you'll need to feed the green wire through the fire wall to get it under the dash.
Once you have connected it test it if the horn doesn't sound when you either lock the car or open a door in lock mode, then you need to connect one of the other wires and see which one the installer has actually used.
Once you find it the alarm should be reprogramed to discharge a horn tone instead of siren sound. This is as easy as starting a car, Good Luck !!!
