Hi all

I was wondering if anybody knows whether or not the Bluetooth Phone Kit will do media streaming to the car's speakers for the i30 (like the Tucson).

Thanks,
Jason.

I just purchased an Elantra Touring (aka i30) with Bluetooth. The manufacturer's bluetooth is NOT integrated with the radio etc. I.e I need to manually mute the radio to make/receive phone calls. Also the sound is not integrated with the speakers it comes out of a single speaker mounted in the unit. The bluetooth unit replaces the sun glasses holder in the ceiling.

Therefor no media streaming to car speakers via bluetooth. If you want that option you need to buy an aftermarket system from say Parrot. Their system does all that and more.

By the way my car radio includes an iPod cable as well as USB input or line in. Therefor I don't really need bluetooth streaming. I just plug my device into the aux slots and away we go.

Hope this helps.

Miklos
