Hi I am new here with a 1.5 years old Hyundai i30 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

great forum for the i30 community (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I'd like to learn more about the fuel system in my car (1.6 patrol)..

main points should be:
* how can I change the fuel filter by myself?
* how can I track the fuel lines and check if I have a leakage\blocks?
* where is the fuel tank and how can it be reached?

pictures with explenations would be great

thanks

Hi Zingarela welcome to the forums

There are several great forums for the i30 community but at this moment in time the only people with a manual are Hyundai dealers and the items you are asking about would appear in a workshop manual. You could go to www.hyundaiownersclub.co.uk where the administrator of the forum is an independant trained Hyundai engineer and he may be able to help you- also on the system somewhere is a guy called Shambles who is knowlegeable.
Now if you have a leak or think you have then simple way to check is to place a sheet of paper under the vehicle and then look later to see if it is stained in any way. I think if you are having mpg problems it may be the type of weather you drive in, How you drive or your computer needs to relearn how you drive- Details of how to do this check in search area above resetting the computer.
Look forward to speaking to you sometime on the other forum and I know there are loads of happy owners here too that may be able to help.

Cheers

Itza
