Hey guys!

So my 06 sonata has hit a little over 60,000 miles now with no problems really. Except just recently. I find when I push the hazard light button nothing is working, and it also no longer lights up at me when i unlock and lock my doors. Probably on the same relay I'm guessing. Any ideas what it might be? I was thinking a fuse, but when I look at the fuse box, I couldn't determine which fuse it might be.

Well thanks to any and all with suggestions!

Matt

Matt,

Try checking the fuses in locations 23 and 26 in the fuse panel in the passenger compartment (left side of the dash panel). They are both 10A fuses related to the hazard switch and relay.

If neither of those are bad, try replacing the relay labeled "I/P B+1" (40A relay) in the relay box in the engine compartment.

If none of this works, get back with us and we will try to diagnose further. Are there any other functions that do not work?

Yep,

Did the trick! I pulled the bad fuse out and replaced it. Also, I noticed some of my fuses were different then they were supposed to. I replaced those back to OEm specs. I wonder if the radio guy at best buy changed them for some reason when I had my amp installed awhile back. Anyway, Thanks!

... or was color blind? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I just had an ugly thought, but I have to ask it because it's Best Buy. Open your hood and look at your battery. Did BB add a heavy-gauge (thick) wire connected to the + battery terminal that powers your amp? Or did the installer tap into your existing wiring, blew several fuses and replaced them with higher-amperage fuses?

If it's the latter, this is dangerous.
