I get RDS on satellite radio but not on the FM band.

Also can't figure out what the CAT/FLD button is supposed to do. Manual is pretty useless on this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bob

You only get info on xm because thats how the xm system is, natively includes it. Unless the radio has the RDS logo on it, you wont get it on FM. My 2006 does not have RDS. It doesnt even read MP3 tags, it only displays the file name.

Cat/Fld is two fold, on XM it lets you browse by category, ie rock, jazz, etc.
While playing an MP3 cd, Fld lets you change folders if you happened to put stuff inside folders on the cd rather than just a big bunch of songs on the root of the cd.

Thanks. I'm disappointed radio doesn't have RDS. I thought it was pretty much standard on all car radios these days. I have a 97 BMW with it. Appreciate the reply.
