Just a guess... but I think the next batch of i10s were last seen here:
http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.a...%204:37:43%20AM

Arrives Tilbury Ro-Ro 21st June as suggested here:
http://www.pla.co.uk/Ships/index.cfm/site/navigation/flag/5

Look out for this:
http://www.shipphotos.co.uk/pages/asianlegend.htm

But this is just speculation. I see it went thru Suez Canal about 12 days ago, so it came from the East.

superb work fg
just checked it out as i ordered my comfort with the "promise " of a mid july delivery. but as the "asian legend docked in tilbury on the 21st of june, and as ive also heard it takes two weeks give or take to get to the relevant showroom,i think our dealers might actually be right. Also as the ship is leaving dock on the 22nd june, i think we can safely say OUR CARS ARE NOW IN THE COUNTRY!!i'm now getting excited and cant wait for my delapidated passat to be pressed in to a four foot cube. happy days

Don't forget... I'm only guessing. Putting 2 and 2 together = 4 (or 5 !) .
I will look out for other possible ships too.

I have been told today that my i10 ordered on the 12/05 will arrive at Tilbury on or about 05/07 and then take up to
3-4 weeks to the moment I can take it over. He believes I may get it around 19/07 but as usual no promises.

However I had to ask again as no information volunteered by the dealer.

The chap who spoke to me appeared more on the ball than the one who took my order and at least showed me how it all was set up on his computer.

He also mentioned that new orders a taking around 3 months to be completed from time it is taken.

Never had a new car in all the 45 years I have a driving license and find my self as excited and impatient as a little child waiting for Christmas day.

By the way very impressed FlowerGirl with your information.

I think the car carriers take about 6,000 vehicles Max.
And (unfortunately (?)) they are not all for Tilbury... some ports of call before and after.
This was interesting from April-2009 - sold whilst at sea !

when ordering mine i picked it from a list on the computor screen of the dealer.Reason being,he said it was what he had coming in in july, so i plumped for a silver comfort as opposed to the black classic i had decided on in the first place. I assume they have a rough idea of what is coming and when.if not why would he have a list eh. i hope he wasnt fibbing to me!Saw a silver version on the way home and it looked decidedly more "camp" than the black one.

I'm still amazed at the info you found fg, and am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that our boat did indeed come in!
I wanted to ask if anyone has seen an i10 on the road as I have become an avid i10 spotter since I placed my order but have only seen one on the road and that was in the south of Ireland. We live in the countryside and I thought it might be more of a city car but we have been to both Glasgow and Edinburgh this week and still haven't seen one. I have scanned car parks and traffic both ways on the motorway. (Really sad, I know, I should get a life!) My son has counted 26 honda civics in the last 2 days but it would seem the elusive i10 is as rare as hens teeth in these parts!

I see 2 on a daily basis!! one silver up the road (*not camp, more executive looking and resalable than other colours) and a blue one every day at work, im sure the one I see at work is the one i test drove on the day. Drive was good for those of you that never had the chance, good steering and all round good drive, seat height can be a little strange but feels quite nice being up a bit more than other cars. Interior is slick a small car that feels big genius!
