Hi F2T
Modern engines don't really have to be broken in- just drive it normally just don't over rev it in the gears and for a few miles dont put the loud pedal right to the floor to see what it will do wait till you have a modest no of miles on the clock.
Mpg wise you won't get great mpg figures till its has around 10-15k on the clock but if you do okay thats a bonus- Now also you have posted in the Tucson forum and although we like the Fe's our love is the Tucson so perhaps you will be better posting there next time as more folks with similar vehicles are around that part of the site. Have a look at your manual too as it will say not to let the engine labour in the gears.
Best of luck and welcome to Hyundai.

Itza
