Got to agree here Jenni It is definitely the tyres otherwise there would be plenty of grip on the road- I am in the UK where we get Hanook 235 x 60 x 16 tyres and they have been very serviceable and grip very well.
Change your tyres asap and keep your life safe from spinning out of control

Cheers

Itza

Ditto. It doesn't take a lot of pedal on a wet road to make the wife's Tuscon activate the traction control. The tires are NOISY and the wet traction leaves a lot to be desired.

Which brings up a question for Itza. Are the Hankook tires (excuse me ... tYres (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif) ) quiet on the highway?

They actually growl a bit but its not what I call unusual on our crappy UK road surfaces in fact today I drove about 40 miles along the M3 Motorway and where they had resurfaced the road with a new type of tarmacadum it was very quiet then I got to the concrete surface and I got noise so I don't blame the tyres here I blame the Government who tax our vehicles to the hilt but do not use car taxes to fix the roads. What we pay here we should have roads of rolled gold 2 foot thick (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Cheers and sorry for the hijack of the initial subject- My rant is over (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

yes, the tires are also very noisy.. annoyingly so.. i was surprised how much louder the wife's Tuc was than my Sonata..

when i replace them, I will probably end up getting the Kumho Solus KR21 or Road Venture APT KL51's..

Heya, I dont know your road conditions, but I had a similar problem with my 2005. It came with Hankooks. I changed teh first set after a brush with some nails. The second set started to wear really fast so I did some research and bought the Hankook RA23, after reading research results online. The RA23's are original equipment on the Veracruz in some markets, plus there are an on-road/off-road trade off. We get a lot of rain here, and these tyres dont move other than where you want them to go! Had a mtor sports enthusiast drive my car and he came back amazed at the ride/grip trade off
