You have to get under the bumper to pull them out. When u get under there u should see the wires leading down to the foglights, The foglight holder/socket twists out since they are locked in place (like most other light sockets on the XG). It helps alot to have some ramps or jack stands to get some clearance to work on it.

Wait! There's a much easier way to do it! Remove the headlamps (one bolt on top of assembly, two on inner side by radiator) It takes just a few minutes with a ratchet set and once they're unplugged and out you have clear access to the screws holding in the foglight assemblies directly below.

Betz698, not sure what you mean when you say you can 'twist out' the holder/socket. If you're talking about the foglight assemblies, they're actually held in by two screws each.

You'll need a philips-head to get the two screws out, and unplug the assembly of course. Once that's done just pull out the assembly from the front of the bumper and you're in business.

YEah, i think 2004 up went to a twist out socket rather than screw in, my mistake.

Actually, I had forgotten that the newer XGs have different foglights, so my bad as well. I'll defer to your experience as to whether or not the newer foglight assemblies twist out. I just got lucky that jgulker has a 2002 model with the same style foglights as myself. Twist-out foglight assemblies sure sound convenient...
