All the issues I have had with my 2006 Azera were resolved Tuesday when I traded for a new 2009. I no longer have the ticking sound from the engine (injectors?), uneven tire wear on the rear tires, and the front doors that just wouldn't stay open as we felt they should. I am very happy so far and will post any issues or comments as necessary including any previous issues that persist.

Congrats on your 2009 Azera. I got mine a week ago and I'm driving it all day long and dreaming of driving it all night long. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hopefully, all the "new" model bugs have been ironed out on the Azera. I'm waiting for the early adopters of the Genesis to work through that model's bugs as that will probably be my next Hyundai purchase in a few years.

I feel the same and have been eyeing the Genesis too.

I like the concept of the Geneis, but have no faith in Hyundai to deliver a car that will last past the first few thousand miles. That's why I am looking at used Lexus cars. And don't reply that they are different type cars. The Azera was aimed at Camry, Accord, Avalon and Lexus ES 350 and the Genesis is aimed primarily at Lexus ES , GS and LS models PER HYUNDAI!
Fool me once (Azera), your fault; fool me twice, my fault.

Well, I had my concerns when I switched from Accords (owned two, a new 1977 and a slightly-used 1990) as I'd owned only these two cars for nearly 30 years. But so far, at 38,000 miles in 2.5 years, the Azera has fully met my optimistic hopes. I did buy the extended warranty, but I think I may never have need for it...
