can anyone in the states tell me if the front amber and rear red lights that are fitted into the front and rear bumpers (fenders) on us spec. XG models are illuminated or just reflectors (l believe they are called side marker lights on your side of the pond)

They are illuminated by 168 type bulbs, same type used on the license plate lights. The colors seem washed out though, I am planning to replace the bulbs with an amber and a red LED.

I don't know of any company that would ship those types of bulbs worldwide, if u want to look up the bulb type of the XG u can use Sylvania's website, http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/

Ledtronics sells a replacment for the 168 type bulb called the Instrument / Dashboard / Cabin Interior LED Replacement Light T3¼ (9mm) Miniature Wedge Based Bulb. I just ordered mine and they ship their products worldwide i believe.

thanks for the reply betz but l need a hyundai dealer in the us that will supply me with the fender lights themselfs not just the bulbs. p.s read your comment about your scratches, l know how you feel it's happened to me

ahhh, ic what u mean when u say u need the housing. I saw ur car and i see the chrome moldings extending around the bumper/ fender area where the side marker light would be. does the chrome trim come off so u can install a housing ?

yes, theres no problem with that, l can cut the chrome moulding so that the side marker lights will fit. just need someone to supply mw with the lights
