Hi All,

I wonder if anybody can help me with my strange problem.

For the past 18 months my Hyundai i30 USB and CD player behaved perfectly. However, in the past few months, something strange happens. When I listen to a USB stick or a CD, occassionally the playing stops, and instead I get the FM radio tuned into a station while the display says "TRAFFIC INFO". I have to switch the radio back to USB/CD mode to resume play, however within a few seconds, the same situation repeats.

I tried browsing through the radio's Setup menu and disabling everything there, but to no effect.

Would anybody know what could be causing this behavior and how can I stop it?

Thanks,
Arie

Hi

Your radio is set to recieve traffic updates- look at your radio book and turn off that feature and it should stop the problem- if it doesn't then ask at a radio specialist or your Hyundai dealership.

Hi Itza,

Many thanks for your answer. I've read my car manual from cover to cover but I couldn't find how to disable this setting.
In fact, for some unknown reason, I don't get as many interruptions as I did in the past, so listening to music is bearable again.
But in case this "feature" ever makes a comeback, I guess I'll have to get my car examined by a professional.

Best,
Arie

Hi Arie..

Do you not have this button on your stereo?

- or -

Does the "setup" button not take you through some options to turn TA off?
