here is a MUCH easier way to reset the ecu in the 2003+ hyundai tiburon/coupe/tuscani

-turn the car off....
-lift the hood/bonnet
-open the fuse box
-remove both fuses listed as being "ECU" from the diagram under the cover
-wait 5 minutes and replace fuses

DONE ... this doesnt reset your clock or radio station presets either

I've been having vibration problems with my 05 Tiburon with auto trans. I had the service manager do a test drive. Vibration is occurring when driving about 41-42 MPH (running about 1700 RPM) which is right at the shift point from 3rd to 4th.

I told him I had reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery then re-engaging adaptive learning by warming it up and going through multiple gear shift cycles.

Well, welcome to 2005. The ECU has nonvolatile memory now. So, disconnecting the battery doesn't clear the memory. I didn't notice a change in my trans after I had disconnected the battery...now I know why.

So, they brought out the HiScan and cleared the memory....I can really feel the difference in the trans....hopefully after it re-learns, the vibration will go away.
