BTW, for heaven sake - buy one already! Any more talk, and we're all gonna have to pitch in and buy you one - just to end your agonizing deliberation. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Volfy - I swear you're the only person who likes the body color grill. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yea - I need a car bad. Now keeping an eye on the Cash for Clunkers program to see if it passes cuz my car qualifies. Still haven't quite let go of the used Acura MDX concept. Was going to take another looksee at Subaru.

It's hard to tell from the little pictures I've seen, but it looks like they may have fixed the four gaping holes in the front many of us have been covering with screen.

It does look like that, but upon closer inspection (and some fiddling with the contrast... it's a slow day, okay?) I think all they did was open up the holes into one big, long slot. Home Depot's earnings are safe for now.

I really hope they have some cojones and bring the Diesel to the US market. It's THE ONLY thing that would guarantee an immediate upgrade from my '07.

There are thumbs of pages from the Korean website. Shows the Nav, etc. I can't find them myself though so if anyone can find the original pages, please post. Sadly, who knows what from these pics the USA, etc. will get. Always seemed to me the US gets the short end of the stick.

Putting the backup camera inside the rearview mirror is actually kind of cool.

http://www.burlappcars.com/2009/06/2010-hy...i-santa-fe.html occasionally gets the scoop on new photos. Other times it resembles the National Enquirer, however, so don't blame me for any inaccuracies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Diesels have been a big winner in Aus. Around 75 per cent of SF sales here are the turbo diesel models. Interesting the current 2.2 L common rail develops 343Nm( 1800-2500rpm) of torque and was ( I believe) developed by Detroit diesel in the US for Hyundai . Be good to see the stats on the new R-diesels . You wonder why they have ditched a motor which was only recently developed and meet all Euro emission standards and got around 8.2L/100km. Yeah i don't like the grill either

Be ready to hurl...... Way to ruin the Santy..... OMG. What were they thinking? Bonus points for the grill being trimmed in 'chrome'

NOOOO!!! Why???!!! Looks like I'll be keeping my '07 for a long time haha. Let's hope the interior changes make up for the mess of a front grille.

I wonder if those fog lights will make it easier for owners to change the bulbs or if the inner fender liner will still need to be pulled to get access.

Maybe Hyundai should make it look a little more Volvo-ish and really show off the emblem... excuse the bad msPaint job. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/57.gif)

Since the 07+ Santa Fe has such a fantastic interior already, I doubt any change can compensate for the Fugly painted grill.

Nope....it's still uglier than sin. (IMG:http://www.hyundai-forums.com/style_images/1/folder_post_icons/icon8.gif) I'm not sure I like where Hyundai is heading with their designs. This facelifted Santa Fe would make Stevie Wonder vomit, the new YF Sonata has adopted that ridiculous gun-slit window design that is popular for God only knows what reason, and they are refusing to even think about offering diesels in the United States. Couple the atrocious looks with the lack of a tractor engine and I don't think I'll be buying another new Hyundai any time soon. In fact, my next new car will probably be an Audi A3 TDI (30 mpg city/45 highway). At least Audi is listening to those who want Diesels here. I love the company and will be keeping my '04 SF for many more years, don't get me wrong but I'm not going to make my future purchases on brand loyalty and blind faith alone. They have to make a product I'm attracted to and that offers equipment that appeals to me.

I'M confused, The pic from the link in Meagain's post #51 does not look at all like the official Hyundai released photo of the 2010 model. The fogs are compleatly different on the official
Hyundai photo. Are we sure that this in not an 09 SE with painted grill and black arround the fogs?

It looks exactly like the 2010 photos released. What are you talking about? What link are you referring to?
And of course it's the 2010. The 2010 has the hideous grill and black around the fogs.

And it's also inset into the car which makes it even worse (if that's possible). I guess to accommodate the louvers/fins. Blow up the pic and you can clearly see the edges sunk in which makes it look more like ****.

I'm so appalled by this that it makes me question getting a Hyundai. The thinking behind this grill has me very worried. Any company that would select and install that grill in one of their cars - what other bad decisions did they make? What crazy bad decisions went into the engine, etc? I've already experienced delving into the blazing lack of forsight to where the Veracruz and santy STILL can't do iPod or ANYthing with the nav and the VC won't even be able to do that till 2011 at best.

The question is, will the current grill fit into the 2010 slot. Who knows. 2nd choice would be black spray paint and ditching the "rim of chrome" but that would make the "H" stand out too much I think.

This is launching in Korea in the next few weeks or so with that grill. LOL I'm also dissapointed to see the fogs simply surrounded by black. I previously assumed they were inset into a black indented area.

It's like "Oh, how can we change this car just for the sake of changing it?" "Um, how about an ugly grill?" "OK, slap it in! That's a change!" Or they are only looking at the dark colored Santy's when deciding and not the lighter colors? The decision worries me.

Oh - shall we move on to the tail lights?

http://www.hyundai-blog.com/wp-content/upl...10hyundaisf.jpg

http://www.hyundai-blog.com/wp-content/upl...010facelift.jpg

I still hold out hope these red-rimmed lights don't show up in the USA. But that grill is surely slated for it.
I'm fighting hard to try to convince them it's a very bad idea!
