2) I've seen them once or twice, but do not remember where. Most nice taillights are only for 2000+. If you find anything, let me know!

Thinking I will just black out the lenses for now to take the edge off them and stop them standing out so much but yeah will certainly be on here with pics and location if I find any.

Yo beanz! I hope you didn't order those lights yet. those are for the lc's. for some reason the web sites love to post incorrect info... maybe they mean the 99 and 1/2's. hyundai releases all the new styles like 6 months early and calls them 1/2's... idk.

Haha no I realised after I posted it that it looks a bit different and then checked its the wrong one. I live in Aus so would've been HUGELY expensive for me to get them, was more of a pipe dream one day. I'm a poor student and working on a very tight budget doing all the work myself, being a girl thats proving harder than I thought to be able to get reliable help and advice!
I am just keeping my eyes peeled for things I'll get one day, I'm patient enough so I'm sure I'll find something and help out people where I can pointing them to the things I find. I have nothing better to do with my study breaks than research and look up parts for my car!

Ha ha. thats funny. Have you made a cardomain page yet. I bet you could find people in your area that have x3's. It seems the x3 is really popular in australia. Thats where my wide body kit came from. If you need any help feel free to pm me or post a comment on my cardomain. (cardomain.com/id/unperfect)

hmmm not as yet, my car is still.....WAS still looking stock standard so nothing to show off yet. It currently looks like a construction site because I have removed much of the interior to work on it (heaven help me if the cops pull me over I'd be buried in defect stickers!)
All of the things I have to add are piling up at home, I want to put as much as I can in at once so I'm not constantly pulling stuff in and out. Have new black carpet, full fusion soundsystem with custom fiberglass sub box (stealing an idea I found on a forum as some stupid idiot put my car on gas before I got it and the tank takes up half of the already TINY boot space, the sub will go in spare wheel well recessed into the floor), recoloured dash board and trim, custom door liners that I made, am making new seats at the moment, suspension in a few weeks, it already has a cannon exhaust, just need to join up the system to the engine, green LED dashboard, white dial faces are coming, green interior lighting (except white LED roof light) HID blue vis headlights and LED lights round the exterior, green front grill mesh, green seatbelts (not as yuck as they sound (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) 16 inch spoke rims....and the list goes on
Won't look flash from the outside for a long time as I can't do as much of that myself, but the interior will be WILD (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) will post pics as I do more.
Thanks for your offer of help, its hard to find good advice sometimes, I shall be sure to pester you

Hi,
I see from your photo http://www.hyundai-forums.com/index.php?ac...st&id=13368 that you have managed to remove the Standard Radio. Could you please explain how did you do that? I have been wrestling with it for a few hours now but with no luck.

I have a Hyundai Accent Coupe '97 model but the Panel containing the Climate Control + Digital Clock + Stereo is the same.

Any help would be great!!

Thank you

Haha I pity you! Beofre I joined these forums and started getting help I couldn't figure it out and just paid to have my CD player installed. I already had the head unit so just payed installation cost. I have recently pulled my panel out to paint it and its HARD and pretty time consuming.
You have to disconnect a few tension wire things (sorry about the bad names and descriptions) 1 is behind the glove box compartment and just needs to be pulled off its pin. Theres another two that go under the edge of your steering column, one just pulls off the pin, the other has a little catch on it that needs to be pressed in so the cable will slide off. Reach around the pull out the plugs for your climate control, hazards and as much of the top things as you can reach, this part is hard unless you have teeny tiny hands and fingers of steel! Pull ash tray out and undo the screws. Lever off aircon knobs with screw driver. Pull out the bottom of the panel so you can disconnect cigarette lighter and all the bottom cables. Some of the cables are globes so need to be twisted out. I can't remember how much you need to take off before you can access the CD player as I took the whole thing off. Just work your way from bottom to top and you'll be fine. Once the 2 screws are undone its all clips all the way around so once you free it up behind it practically jumps off.
Sorry if thread too detailed but this is the advice I found helpful....with a few gaps filled in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) good luck and I hope you're patient! Without my partners help I would have taken to mine with a hammer!

So many people ask this question I think its worth making a photo tutorial. Perhaps I'll do it when I have time?
