anybody downunder know where i can get a replacement cigarette lighter for the dash? Hyundai in brisbane wants $83 for the spare part. it actually only looks like the white nylon sleeve is broken and not the lighter itself.

Rekon you will be able to fit one you find at a vehicle dismantlers as it seems to be exactly the same as fitted to all vehicles and should therefore cost you just a few cents (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

thanks itsa. i recently had the tucson in to the local repair shop to figure out why the FM transmitter for our ipod (i have read a post of yours querying their use: he he he - i use ours to carry videos for the kids, music, work files, and photos around the place - they make a great external storage device for your PC) was not doing its job in the tucson, as it had in every other vehicle i could test. I have gone back to them and suggested they should fix it since it worked fine before we went away for two weeks (had them look at it all just before we took off) and now it doesn't. i shall know later today whether or not the new dealership team are up to scratch or not with the ideals of customer service.

thanks for your suggestion. funny the difference in naming convention: your "vehicle dismantlers" Vs our "wreckers"
