****, I wish they never put TPMS on the new Sonatas. Just another thing to worry about.

I'm not Menace89, but I'll answer for him. His Sonata is a 2006 model, which did not have TPMS. TPMS was released midway through the 2007 model year.

BTW, Menace, seeing that ALMOST makes me want a black on black on black car. But alas, I live in Texas, so it'll never happen. Yours looks absolutely amazing though!

Thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

anyone have experience running 225/45/17 on the stock wheels? not sure if it would look ridiculous without having the car lowered? figured the 235/50/17 wouldn't have much of a visual impact in terms of sidewall. thanks.

NEVERMIND. Seems as though the 225/45/17 is not recommended for various reasons. and while the 235/45/17 would be within the safe limits, the effects on mileage and gearing are not worth it in my opinion. guess i will stick with the stock 225/50/17.

Take a look at some of the pics in my Garage. I'm not sure what you're looking to do, but I have 235/50/17's. Just look for the pics with the aftermarket rims. That'll give you an idea of what they'll look like. I had the 16's from the factory, so I don't have a 225/50/17 pic to compare it to, but you'll get the idea.

Thanks for the link. Car looks great. I like the spoiler. Was going more for the visual than anything else. I just think the shorter sidewall would look really sharp even with the factory rims.

Obviously the handling would improve, which would be fun on some of our country roads here in PA; but I would probably loose some ride comfort and gas mileage, while picking up MORE roadnoise with the wider footprint.

I am not positive of the wheel size width wise so I am not even sure they can take a 235/45/17, but I'd imagine they can.

Sharp looking tire too. I was thinking about getting those myself. Think I have decided I have to give the Maxxis MA-Z4s a try, I will report back once I get them put on at the end of the month.

See you are from Texas, going to be heading to San Antonio around Labor Day. Couldn't pass up $69 each way.

Thanks again.
