Hello all. Seems like there's a lot of knowledgeable people here. Maybe you can help me.

I've recently bought a 2008 Azera and it has the factory Inifinity head unit with the 6 disc changer. I've been reading through the responses on the forum and I am a little confused as to whether or not the iPod integration can be added to the 2008 model. I bought the car from CarMax and they said they could not/would not add the integration. Is that something I can get done at the dealership or do I need to get an aftermarket unit? I would prefer to just get an aftermarket navigation unit installed with everything on it, but if I can hook the iPod directly to the factory stereo, I could save money and be satisfied with a portable Nav unit.

Thanks

I just finished installing an "iSimple adapter Peripheral PXAMG PGHHY1" in My '08 Azera Limited and it works perfectly! It took me about an hour from start to finish.., search ebay - be sure the vendor includes the charger cable as well as the harness - I paid $129.00 for everything. Some vendors try to make you purchase the iPod cable for an additional $30!! Don't get burned!!

The adapter adds complete iPod control.., As long as your head unit has an "XM" button, you're good to go!

Enjoy!

Dave

what technology does this adapter use? FM transmitoer? Aux? etc...if you could explain a little more, I am looking to add ipod integration to my girlfriends 08 Azera with the Navigation system, she currently uses the monster cable FM transmitter that sounds like garbage. How is the sound quality on this adapter you have?

i too just put in what road warrior suggested and man was I surprised it was a little time consuming but worth it all the way it is not compatible with any radio with a built in xm tuner i drive an 08 hyunda azera with no navigation. but the isimple just works, I drilled holes through the compartment below the air condition controlls and ran the wires out of them to my ipod....perfection.
