I was in Venice Florida the last two weeks on vacation and noticed that Azera is a hot car down there. I saw almost 40 Azera's in and around Venice in different colors and years. When I went to Naples I saw a few more. Then I noticed in a car ad at Jenkins Auto Dealership in Sarasota that the discounts on Azera is a good buying opportunity. I saw a price after discounts of $20,100 bucks on a new 2009 Azera. This is a great price for the car. 20,000 bucks for a Azera loaded. You must be kidding.

I never saw any deals on the new Genesis or the Genesis Coup that is now available. Too bad but if Hyundai is discounting the Azera in this manner maybe by the end of the summer Genesis will also follow. Sure hope so as I would trade my Azera or a Genesis anyday.

This one's a head-scratcher. I looked up the website of Jenkins Hyundai in Bradenton, and they listed a "just reduced" price of $20,900 for an '08 Limited with 13,000 miles on it.

You sure about your facts, Pal?

I think so. The paper said new not used and it was a 2009 Azera. There were four discounts on the car at the starting price of $29 thousand and some dollars. I was shocked to see a price drop of this amount for an Azera. I also saw a dealer in Naples that had a 2009 new Azera for $23,500.00 after discounts.

Ha! If all of this is true, we owe more on each of our '07s than you can get a new one for in '09. D'oh!

The Azera is considered by some car analysts as a Korean Buick and since Florida is loaded with the "elderly" who prefer more Buick-like ride (basically a boat), then I am not least surprised by this finding.

That 08 for $20,900 is no bargain.
