I was at the dealer on Friday and inquired about their Remote car starter, andthe man at the parts counter told me that, the one that Hyndai has, will not work with my TUCSON and I will have to go to a after market product. has any installeda remote starter and if so, any around the GTA ( Toronto). Any ideas or thoughts would help.

This has been done by some of the Canucks on the Tucson drivers forum so if you log in there I am sure someone will assist you- It is only in some countries where this facility is used as nowadays its frowned upon by insurers and motoring organisations plus there is the problem of greenhouse gases increasing due to leaving it ticking over to warm it up when the manufacturers recommend get in and go. Obviously you probably live in a cold winter area where this is considered the norm.

Hope this helps

I have a 2005 Tuscon lx auto. I had mine installed by Best Buy in Nova Scotia back in December. Ran $150 for the unit installed plus $50 to get the power locks on the remote, plus tax. No problems and the range is incredible!
