Hiya gurus,
I'm having a new noise coming from the steering coloumn area. It's a 2007 model.
It only happens when the car is warm and only when the engine is on. It seems to come from inside the steering coloumn and can be heard when you turn the wheel.
I've read of other posts referring to noise from the passenger side but not from the drivers side.
Could it be noise transmitted from the steering or even suspension (bushes maybe?)?
Has anyone else experienced this squeal from there?
Cheers,
Ben
Hi TOL and welcome to the forum
I too have a 2007 Tucson but without the squeal- I would say that as your Tuc is still under warranty then the dealer should have a look at it- although I think it is in all probability the steering belt possibly glazed a bit and slipping hence the squeal.
In Oz where you do have the heat extremes then this is a possibility and it could also be loose and need tightening up.
Hope this helps
