I'm looking for some nice all weather mats to help protect my floor. Originally I considered getting some Weathertech's, but I searched around a little more and found these...

http://www.hyundai-parts.com/PD-U8130-3K100.aspx?MakeID=31

Has anyone dealt with the site? Can they vouch the mats are any good? Or tell me where else I could find some for around $50 that wouldn't require cutting and all to fit the Sonata?

I really do want some that are molded specifically for the Sonata. After having the ones in my Cherokee that weren't (that constantly bunched up and slid around) I do not want just generic ones or some half-**** do it yourself cutting job to make it fit...

That was my initial thought, but I didn't know if there were any cheaper ones. It's not like we get a ton of snow around here (we basically got nothing last year!) I just wanted something that wouldn't wear out and all. For the price, I do really like how those look, and they seem to cover more than the lower-priced Weathertech ones.

Those aren't Sonata mats, they are for the Santa Fe. I have them in my Santa Fe and they suck because there aren't any deep grooves. I had the Hyundai mats for my 07 Sonata and I loved how deep the grooves were. I felt they were a little smaller than the floor mats that I had underneath.

I would say go with the Weatchtech mats.

edit: Here are the Sonata mats. I think these are the rear set because they look smaller and don't say Sonata in the corner.

I would go with the weather techs for sure. i live in MN and those things are life savers. the only complaint i have is that they seem to slide like and inch or two becasue they dont really lock into the retaining device.

I have the WeatherTech set too and like you, I find that they slide ever so slightly forward. Not a big deal. I have been thinking of sticking the "loop" side of Velcro strips underneath so they bite into the carpet. Hope that helps.

I have the "cool-looking" mats. Haha! Kidding aside, I have the molded Floorliners. They do move but just barely and that's only if someone puts a good amount of force pushing them forward.

I may go through that site myself since they have the photo correct and they had some paint pens like I considered earlier. I'm just a bit worried since I don't know automotive sites as well, which ones are legit or simply worth using... I've ordered things online before from "ecommerce startup kit" sites and gotten the wrong item or nothing at all. Some of these sites just don't seem all that professional looking so I'm not sure how much they have behind the scenes...

These guys are actually a Hyundai Dealer, so no worries. Also FYI, there is no tax added and shipping is free for over $150. I was able to get my mudguards, all weather mats, ipod cable and trunk cargo net shipped to me free (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I hope you're going from more than just the text at the bottom saying "WE ARE AN AUTHORIZED HYUNDAI DEALER." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) It's not difficult at all to make a spoofed site you know. Eh, I'll probably purchase from them, just still rather iffy. And I guess I'm a bit worried since my standards are rather high and that I won't like how the mats look. That's shipping both ways (I doubt I'd get $150 worth of stuff) and restocking fees...

DarrenCax,

if you are referring to the Hyundai Accessory Store site, they are in fact a 100% authorized Hyundai Dealer.. the place is actually called Gary Rome Hyundai out of Holyoke, MA... if you would like, see the link below for their main Hyundai site...

http://www.garyromehyundai.com/

I have ordered from that place before (Mud Guards).. they are reputable and they are real Hyundai parts and i got my order in 2-3 days...

Just an FYI...

I have the weathertech, go them in time for all the muddy and snowy winter here on the east coast.

These things are great and a few of my friends are getting them too.

i called the tech line and that was the only thing the suggested. I asked if they had a lot of those complaints and he said he hasnt heard of it happening before. It isnt a huge deal so i dont feel like going through the effort of velcroing them down. also when taking them out to spray them off i assume that would be a pain.

One other question, to both those with Weathertech and the Hyundai mats... Do they have a strong odor to them? I recall dad getting some mats for his truck and they stunk up his truck for a few months. I dont want to get these and it start stinking up my Sonata or masking the new car smell... (I mean it's only 5200 miles old (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )
