hey all,

The wifey and I just bought a 2005 Tuscon GSL, love the **** out of it!! First vehicle we ever owned that has a moon roof.

Anyways, the dealer only had one key with one remote. So what im wanting to know, has anyone bought a keyless remote from someone other than the dealership and programmed it themselves?

i have one coming in from a seller on Ebay but i'll have to program it myself.

Side note: the car salesman told me not to purchase the remote from them, way over priced.

i dont know about the Tucson's, but I know in the NF Sonata's, you cannot program the fob's yourself.. has to be done by the dealer.. maybe its different in the Tuc...

Hi D
Well as the dealer didn't supply you with the two keys take the one you have obtained into him and tell him it won't work can he get it programmed as you cannot secure the Tuc properly without the electronic key and your insurance will be invalidated cos the alarm won't work. (keep your original key in your pocket out of sight) just ensure that you have the key cut correctly and I bet he sorts it out- You could ask him to replace the battery as you think thats why its not working (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Not exactly subtle but hey ho whatever!!

I take it the dealer is a Hyundai one? if not you will have to find a Hyundai dealer to do this for you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Most remotes can be programmed manually at home without any tools or technical skills.

If you need to just order the instructions please check our website at

http://www.carandtruckremotes.com/programm...structions.html

If you have any more questions or have any specific inquiries about programming your vehicle please contact us at customercare@carandtruckremotes.com including year, make and model of your vehicle.
