Have 1000 miles on the clock of my i30 estate and love the car. I have noticed a Noise during accelerating hard on tight right hand bends, it sounds like an exhaust noise, or it could be a turbo "rasp" but what is strange is that it does not happen on left hand bends. Can any body throw light on this noise?

Hi Girth67
Have a look under the car and check out the exhaust retainers as I think that maybe the exhaust is touching bodywork on the right handed bend as the vehicle suspension gets under stress- on a left hander the exhaust being on that side initially can go left without the same sort of strethy stress (Hope my explanation helps its a bit basic-momentum is the problem I think)

Cheers

Itza

PS do it when its cold as when its hot the exhaust will remove the skin from your hands!! (teaching you how to suck eggs)
