Does anyone know how to remove the stock radio (and heater surround) in a 1986 Excel?
I really want to install a cd player, but I can't figure out how to remove the existing radio.

If you pop out the black covers that look like switches where the demister switch is there will be screws in them and then you can take of the other screw at the bottom pull the shroud of and the player is screwed on from the back. Unscrew and install new one. Hope ive helped

Thanks for the help, but mine must be different.
I did figure it out and it was WAY more simplistic than I thought.
You can pry off the black plastic radio surround with a screw driver.
Once this is off you will see all the screws that hold in the radio and the bezel that surrounds the heater and vents.
If anyone needs more info I can send a photo of what I mean.
