Like 4 x 100 or 4 x 114.

Further to Dr. Hundi`s post: to choose aftermarket wheels, you also need to specify the correct offset (+42 mm. + or - 2mm.) & the supplier will need to understand that you have captive discs........the wheels need to have recesses for the 4 bolt-heads which protrude from the front hubs.

This severely restricts your choice!.

According to the info I've got, an X3 (1995-1999) Accent has a stud pattern of 4x114 - it's the LC & LC2 (2000+) Accent that has the 4x100 stud pattern.

From my website:
QUOTE
Accent 1994 to 2000
PCD = 4 x 114 mm
Offset = 35 TO 45 mm
Bore = 67.1 mm

Can someone please confirm if this is correct so I'm not giving people the wrong info?

I have the same info as Soullink - 1995 - 2000 model years are 4X114.3

2001 and on are 4X100 - this is for Canada and I would assume US as well

This is from a supplier's fitment guide at http://fastco.ca/FWappsandprices.pdf

Is there any chance that different markets would get different sizes?
