I got my new 09 I30 1.6 Diesel Auto SLX on the 5th of January and today it went up in a big black cloud of smoke and had to get towed back to the garage where it was bought from.... Not good and I had to fight for them to give me a car whilst I found out what is wrong with mine...

Welcome gazmike or should I say what a bummer on your first post and your car is just 3 weeks old.

This is the first real issue I heard of, except for the odd problem with fuel filters.

If you haven't already seen it, there is a dedicated i30 web site set up by an OZ (would say 95% OZ members).

Suggest you join and post this on there as I'm sure you'll get loads of feedback.

I'd be interested as to what was the problem and how they deal with it/you.

They should give you a brand new car!!!
